Royal Hojari Boswellia sacra (Hojari) from Oman
This is Royal Hojari (Boswellia sacra). I am making the price more affordable. There are green tones in this sacra but the best part is the smell is totally incredible. When you wet the sacra it is all green. The resin comes with a whitish powder over it, so it looks whitish green.
This species of Frankincense comes from the mountainside of Oman. It is called Hojari after the Hajar Mountains. This resin contains Boswellic Acid and has high amounts of alpha-pinene.
Depending on the time of the year, there are light or dark green shades to the resin. It does not make it inferior, it is just how the tree produces its resin depending on climate change. Either dark or light, the smell is still incredible. Its chemical makeup is the same too. Again the only difference is the color.
This resin is used in drinking water and also known to clean the air and kill bacteria. In Oman, this resin is burned in churches and temples and is thought to be the one that was brought to baby Jesus.
Boswellia sacra also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be made into an herbal infusion and used for any type of pain.
I use B.sacra for pain in my back in an herbal infusion and also I drink it in a tea to help relax me. Most resins taste terrible but this one has a nice pleasant taste.
