Sacred Hojari Boswellia sacra incense (Greek Orthodox)
This is a unique type of Greek Incense. It is hand-made using Hojari sacra Church Grade incense and Amber Oud Musk Fragrance Oil.
Church Grade are tiny pieces and are normally sold to churches.
The Amber Oud Musk Oil is a Fragrant Oil, not an essential oil, and is used for candle making and perfumes. It is used primarily for smell and it smells just like Amber Oud Musk.
For thousands of years, The Greeks and all ancient peoples used incense in their life practices as aromatherapy, insect repellent or even as an aphrodisiac, they also used it in religious rituals, meditation and prayer. They took Frankincense resin and mixed it with a carrier oil and rolled it into small balls or squares then allowed it to dry. (there were no essential oils back then) Because it was used for rituals, the Greek Monks are the one who made the incense because they were considered the most holy.
If you visit Greece, you can find good quality incense at monasteries. The monks at Mt Athos and at the monasteries of Meteora also make and sell all kinds with various aromas including gardenia, jasmine, lavender, rose, and myrrh.
Many sell it now mixed in with fragrant oils used in perfume making because it is very expensive to use essential oils especially jasmine, rose, and oud and you can actually get the same smell.
The company I am getting it from is OMAN, the same company where I purchase my resin, essential oil, and Boswellic Acid Extract so I know they are only using top-quality fragrance oils and resin. I will be getting in Jasmine and Lavender soon also.
You can use it with charcoal or with the manual burners I sell.
I made a video that you can watch to see how I use them.
I am selling it as 2oz in these beautiful Gold Tins. I will be selling it wholesale. If you are interested, you can use my contact form and ask for pricing.
Resins may irritate the skin so please handle with care.
