Elemi (Canarium madagascariensis ) Oleoresin Extract from Madagascar
This is a very rare tree that grows in Madagascar and is in the Burseraceae family just like the Frankincense trees are.
It has also grown in the Philippines but is very hard to acquire it and it is very gooey and hard to work with. Also, the Latin name is different: Canarium luzonicum.
The one from Madagascar is also gooey but it is dried and rolled into a ball then sold so it is easier to work with.
I was sent a good size of it and decided to make an herbal infusion with it, using Fractionated Coconut Oil. It was infused in the carrier oil for 75 days to bring everything out since this resin is quite hard
It is excellent for any type of respiratory issue. It also can be used for pains in the joints and muscles.
You can use it by itself or you can put an essential oil in it. This is extremely strong so you might want to put it into another larger size bottle and add more FCO to it.
I am giving it to you in a 30 ml bottle.
