This resin is quite interesting because in ancient times the bark on the tree was used for medicinal purposes. In the northern part of Nigeria the bark was an important ingredient for the treatment of infections.
A few years ago the resin was tested and it was found out of all the Frankincense Boswellia resins it has the most Boswellic Acid of all of them. Given this it is excellent for any inflammation.
The scent is an intense aroma, lemony, minty,and fresh.
It is used in the perfume industry because of its beautiful smell.
It comes in a few grades and the only different in the grades is the size of the tears and how expensive it is. I decided to get grade 2 because of what you would use it for especially in infusions, this grade is perfect. 1st grade is actually just a bit bigger so i would rather you get the value out of it instead of the price. This way i can keep the price lower.
