Lamb's Ear (Stachys byzantina) Mystical Salve- 2oz
So I have been growing this beautiful plant in my garden. They call it Lamb's Ear because when you touch the leaves it feels like a Lamb's ear, so soft and gentle. It is a perennial herb of the mint family Lamiaceae. I did some research on it and found the plant is antibacterial, absorbent, antiseptic, and antifungal.
You can use it to treat scrapes, burns, insect bites. People actually used the leaf for bandages and wounds. So I decided to make a salve out of it using the MCT herb oil infusion I made and added Natural Organic Beeswax to create the salve.
I used it to heal a cut I had on my finger. I actually keep it in my medicine cabinet so when I need it I have it available.
When I started the infusion I was quite surprised, it really does not smell like mint. It smells like cotton candy. It has a greenish tint to it as you see in the picture that shows the infusion of it.
I do not have a lot because the season here is changing and the plant is going into dormancy so once they are gone, I will not be making it again until next summer.
