Pinus Elliottii

Pine Tree Resin

Family: Pinaceae

It is known as Slash Pine and this pine comes from North Carolina.

It is one of the hard yellow pines indigenous to southeastern United States. This particular tree where this resin comes from is North Carolina and is organically grown with tender care.

Slash pine is an evergreen coniferous species of tree. All conifers are excellent for inflammation and also respiratory issues.

When burned the pine has a nice sweet smell. You can use this resin to make lotions and salves.

Slash pine is also used for reforestation projects and timber plantations throughout the southeastern United States. Its pines produced turpentine and crude rosins used for a variety of purpose: poles, railroad ties, pilings, and turpentine.

I only have a small amount of this resin. When it is gone, i will not be getting more for awhile, because right now the tree needs to rest before it can be tapped again.
