Frankincense Boswellia serrata 1st grade Powder/Gravel
Boswellia serrata is one of the most well-known and well-used Frankincense in the world. It is called Indian Olibanum or Salai in India. It contains Boswelic acid and a high percentage of alpha-thujene which makes it anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory. It is excellent for joint and muscle pain when made into an herbal infusion.
It is one of my favorite resins for what ails you. It can be burned or made into a salve, lotion or tincture. I have some of it in gravel/powder form for those who are going to put it into a capsule or make an herbal infusion.
A word of caution this resin may cause problems with those on blood thinners and also who have heart problems. It is suspected that this effect may be due to the presence of estragole, also known as methyl chavicol which is also in the essential oil. According to Essential oil Safety, second edition Robert Tisserand/Rodney Young, P 553. "Estragole has an in vitro antiplatelet effect. This effect is compared to diluted aspirin solution" While there is no strong proof that this compound is the primary cause, I suggest caution and supervision when using this product if you are on this type of medicine or have heart problems.
My goal is to sell quality resins at an affordable price. Some of you know me as the Queen of Resins because of the knowledge I have from constantly studying these resins and the friendships I have created with those who sell and harvest these beautiful trees.
These resins are harvested by Fair Trade Standards only.
Resins may irritate the skin so please handle with care.
